I just realized that this lotion expired last year ( which begs the question of why lotion expires?). But you know, maybe that's why it's BURNING MY FACE right now. Or maybe it's 'refreshing' and 'tingling action'.

This will make a bit more sense if you have seen Cowboy Bebop...actually it probably won't.

Earth has long since been a difficult world to inhabit. The space stations on other planets and moons are home to most. Technology, medicine, economy - Gaoling and Basingse are the main places to be.

The Phoenix Syndicate has warred with the other rival gangs - because gangs are the ones who really run things - and has already annihilated one of the other major players. One of them though managed to escape them - a rather important one (Now what translates into super Avatar in high-techese - um...probably some special android or just leave him as is or make him both). That one boy, however, just might be the key to ending the gang wars. Him, two siblings from a weaker but fierce gang, and an out of favor 'prince'.

(The gang thing comes from the fact that Ozai and the Fire Nation are all about RESPECT *points to Zuko's face* and HONOR *points to Zuko Season 1* and TERRITORY *pulls out a map of the Avatar world*. Oh, the Fire Nation is also about POWER (=money, politics, etc...) and GLORY *Azula*. Can't forget about those. The N., S. Mafia is more a 'family/loyalty' thing.)

But this is all merely the backdrop to a story about a bounty hunter who gets mixed up with a freaking samurai (he's not really a samurai, but it's like year 2200 and the guy has a sword) with the most interesting people trying to kill him and offering way too much money for her to refuse.

The Organizations

The Phoenix Synidicate will operate like a family business with the emphasis being more on business than family. Ozai took over from his father after the old man died. His brother Iroh made no objections and spends his days at his tea shop, playing Pai Sho (Iroh is a bit more...slick than in the show. And more detatched.) Their main headquarthers is located on Mars.

Water tribes become North Mafia and South Mafia (North South Mafia? NSM?). I like that word, Mafia. I think I'll have them set up like either the Irish or Roman mob. Man...I'm gonna have to do research and stuff.

Air nomads were neutral go-between, but they got sneaky one day and the Phoenix made them the first to go. Temple Boyz(s?) or the Specialists.

Although I can hear Aang saying, "Trust me. I'm a Specialst."

Kingdom Brawlers. Bedrock Crew. Jade Gang. Or I could be totally unoriginal in the slightest and call them the Dai Li. I mean, I wouldn't possibly be able to come up with something better than that. And all these others can be just smaller pieces of the whole run by Long Feng with Kuei as the puppet. No reason to fix what ain't broken with that one. (At the very least I should finish Silver Lining before I do this. Maybe I'll write an outline... And maybe the sky will turn to fire and my nose will fall off.)

(I'm not sure if I should make the Mafia or the smaller segments of the Dai Li the crazy gangbanger types or not. Maybe just the South Mafia and a couple of the them Dai Li would be like that.)

And of course, the Order of the White Lotus will remain what it is. An organization dediced in philosphy, truth, and beauty. And tea, destroying corruption and being awesome when the situation calls for it. - "So basically, it's the Phoenix Syndicate, the South and North Mafia, and the Dai Li...against the Order of the White Lotus. Have you guys considered a name change? Maybe something that doesn't include a flower?"

And of course there is the standard galactic government, which is a bit of a problem because Kuei aka Long Feng carries some weight in that arena. I think, maybe...

Rather than a shirshu, I'm thinking Nyla (did you know he was actually a boy?) is going to be the super-computer that runs her ship, like an Artificial Intelligence. To be precise, N.Y.L.A (what does that stand for? You're asking me?) was a payment for a job to June's father after tracking someone or other down for a hacking, engineer genius. He would have rather not given it to them, but it was either that or June's dad was getting his liver. N.Y.L.A is a brilliant piece of work, learning and adapting itself to any technology it's introduced to, from being able to run facial-recognition databases to maintaining the inner-workings of June's space cruiser to brewing the perfect cup of tea.

It's mainly going to be about Piandao and June because, you know, I'm obsessing right now. The idea isn't really original because 'Menamebephil' has this story on FF starring Piandao as head of the Order and running around being awesome and June's in it, and it's more about Azula than Zuko because well...that would just ruin it. However, his is set in the normal A:tLA universe and done as a 'For Want of a Nail' thing.

Sokka and Katara will appear - not starring though. Aang. (What will Appa translate into? A ship, I suppose, roomy and capable of off world travel. Very advanced tech, which was mostly lost with the whole Specialists group.) Long Feng. Kuei. Toph. The Guru. The FN Royal Family and friends. Zhao. Bumi. The OWL. Hakoda. Yue. Pakku. Kanna. Arnook

Zuko - He simply wouldn't be Zuko if he could keep his mouth shut. He unintentionally pisses Ozai off in a major way, resulting in him being burned/scarred for life/dishonored and dumped on Callisto (one of Jupiter's moons, it's mainly made up of ice and rock - not ideal for firebenders of any kind) to handle the 'trade' their (and stay out of the way.).
Azula - She's the princess who likes to play dangerous games. Her time is spent keeping the underlings in line, learning the general way of things, and making sure that everyone who has heard her names trembles. Basically the same old, sadistic girl everyone knows and...stuff.
SECONDARY PSYCHOPATH - Charismatic psychopath
Ozai - As Iroh's baby brother, he never felt that he got the respect he deserved - never Iroh's, never father's... With the position and power he had, he couldn't be satisfied. He wanted more, but his father seemed to live by the philosophy of 'You'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands'.
Why, yes, he is a sociopath. And a narcissist. And a psychopath. Or do those things contradict, since with one the person doesn't feel emotions?
Azulon - During his rule, the Syndicate focused a large portion of its money on advances in pharmaceuticals and ways to live longer, fuller lives. Weeks before his pet project was, he died - the circumstances were suspect, nothing was proven, and Ozai took control with no protest from the rightful heir.
Ursa - Um...one thing for sure, she's no Miss Butterscotch-Sunshine.
Iroh - He is willing to help his nephew if he'd only ask. However, he truly seems to want nothing to do with the rest of his family and former life, so it would seem. But when Zuko does ask for his assisstance, he has his manager run the shop while they and their crew galivant across the galaxy in search of (amnesiac Specialist Avatar Aang) the person who broke into one of their warehouses.
Jee - he is the Lieutenant and Second in Command on Zuko's ship.
Mai - Bodygaurd, friend, attack-dog, assassin...
Ty Lee -

 OCs not yet created...

The Bending

I'm not sure if there are still benders in this or if they'll be something else...Well, yes, the benders remain. That's part of the fun of the fandom anyway.

Perhaps they've been upgraded some. The Firebenders have evolved more into a different kind of Energybenders, like just Lightning. It's become a more controlled thing than just shooting off massive bolts, and it's a very exclusive ability. However, there are still those who can/only able to use just Fire.

Technically, they're no longer on Earth for the most part, so Earthbenders have upgraded to Metalbending. (I wonder, could they possibly bend bone or is that just messed up? I mean, ashes to ashes, dust to dust and all that.)

Airbenders bend air. You can't change air so yeah. Of course, they don't so much now with most of them being dead, the few alive being in hiding, and the one that has to just waking up out of cryogenesis(sp?) by one curious woman and her downright disagreeable brother.

And the Waterbenders...well, people still need water, so they wouldn't have to change. However, Bloodbending has become a more acceptable thing, and the Mafias reside on a planet/station (Neptune has the most water, right? I'm going to have to find the Asian names for them.) that is surrounded by moons/ has a constant moon.

Just how do they come into play with this brave new world? I believe they should still exist, but perhaps to a lesser extent than in the show. But it would be so much more interesting if they were involved, but I'm not sure if I could swing all that into what the massive headache I'm creating already. (Ghosts in the machine - type stuff mostly. It depends on what kind of creature I make Aang into.) Definitely no aliens. Unless Aliens = Spirits.

This is actually the first time I've gotten this written out anywhere.
LOL.... I'm such a nerd.
Oh, hey. I just realized I'm going to have to name the chapters after some weird obscure songs. Fuuuuuuuuun!

Plot Outline

Okay then. It's an AU futuristic Cowboy Bebop Avatar fusion. What are you going to do with it? Simply retell the story with a different setting? Centralizing it around a different set with the orignal main characters subjected to a footnote here and there?

100 years pre-series. There was a conflict between the Specialists and the Synidicate. The Syndicate felt that the Specialists were cheating them out of their fair share and favored the Dai Li & N.S Mafia over them. They didn't like that because Sozin (their leader at the time) had started to get a big head and eyes bigger than his stomach. He was no longer content to just have control over Caldera; he wanted everything.

His counsel adviced against it until a spy revealed to them (rather convenient) the Specialists were truly working against them. Then they decided that they wouldn't tolerate this disrespect. They used...something (I don't know. maybe it was still a comet) to enhance their bending. This might not be actually important. The Massacre will probably mostly be visited in short flash-backs.

What is the point? What story are you trying to tell here? Or are you merely just wanting to explore this elaborate world?

...I don't be knowin'...
 why you ask me?

Possible Titles

The OWL Sessions

Anyway, I'm more than willing to hear what anyone has to say about this.

So I was in McDonalds with my sister while she downloaded songs onto her secret computer (which took like an hour). And McD's has these tvs with caption and I like to read. I saw Pakistanis set two giant pictures of Obama and Hilary Clinton(almost called her Duff lol) and the American flag on fire.

A Florida moths is in jail for neglectful manslaughter after her twelve year old son shoved his three year old brother into a bookcase hard enough to knock him out. The 'mom' surfed the Internet and downloaded songs four(?) hours before taking the bleeding baby o the hospital; the baby is dead. He twelve year old is being charged for first degree murder as an adult.

And in some way that I fail to understand, our Air Force lost a $6 million STEALTH drone plane...to Iran. HOW DOES THAT FLIPPING HAPPEN!?!?!?

In more personal news, Steve has tattoos. Stars, something else, and a Bible verse in some 'modern translation'. Deuteronomy 7:21. And our subFrench teacher is terribly surprised that we weren't taught how to form sentences; I am too.

Seriosuly though, who is the moron hat lost the flipping plane!? Fire that guy! I mean what? Just... What?
